Live blog today of your fight fans, er, football team

So Floyd Mayweather won his fight last night and that's important to you on this Dolphins blog because, the Dolphins watched the fight.

Apparently the coaching staff rented out a sports bar near their downtown Buffalo digs Saturday and the players went over there and watched the match that ended in the 10th round on a TKO.

The interesting thing about it is the fight didn't begin until 11 p.m. and estimates are it ended sometime around 12:30 a.m. By the time players got back to their rooms it was around 1 a.m.

It's interesting that on a night before a 1 p.m. game, the Dolphins as a whole were out until midnight or 1 a.m. Typically, players have to be in by 11 p.m. for bed check on the night before a game.

Oh, brother ... the hits keep on coming.

INACTIVE INFORMATION: Starting CB Michael Lehan, starting running back Jesse Chatman, starting linebacker Channing Crowder, starting receiver Marty Booker and starting defensive lineman Matt Roth are inactive for today's game. They will not play.

Anyway, meet me in the comments section for the live blog around kickoff time -- which is about 12 hours after the dolphins got in last night.

Running back Jesse Chatman (ankle), cornerback Michael Lehan (groin), linebacker Channing Crowder (foot sprain), wide receiver Marty Booker (knee) and defensive end Matt Roth (groin) are inactive, along with new linebacker Mark Washington, right tackle Julius Wilson and defensive tackle Anthony Bryant. Samkon Gado gets the start at running back in place of Chatman, wide receiver Derek Hagan replaces Booker, and left guard Cory Lekkerkerker will start in place of Chris Liwienski for the offense. Defensively, Rodrique Wright starts at defensive end for Roth, cornerback Travis Daniels replaces Lehan and Donnie Spragan will fill in for Crowder.

Hmmm got to love John Beck... I guess he tripped over all that natural talent...This guy has no instincts and even less business being on a pro football field then even I would give him credit for.

Phins should trade down that number 1 to somebody looking for a stud RB so they can draft McFadden before the Pats do... That way we can use the extra picks to bring in Brohm or some other QB with better skills and future upside.

We finally make a play on defense and negate it with a personal foul penalty. There's no discipline on this team and that's Cameron's fault!!!

He's got to go NOW!!!!!!!

Edwards looks really good. He picks out that receiver with man coverage EVERY single time. And he seems to have instinct about when to get rid of the ball.

I hope they hire Marty Shottenheimer. He should have been asked in the first place.

Did Peyton Manning do jack sh*t in his rookie season? Does that mean he did deserve more time?

Mando, maybe now we will have to draft a qb #1?

WELL, FAIR OR NOT, CAMERON S TWO INITIAL PICKS HAVE COST THE DOLPHINS 14 OF 21 POINTS ALREADY - JUST IN THE FIRST QUARTER.THE ONLY THING LEFT IS FOR SAMPSON SATELE TO ALLOW 4 OR 5 SACKS TODAY.HE S APPARENTLY NOT BLOCKING THAT WELL TODAY ANYWAY - OR IS THE O LINE.IT SEEMS WAYNE H. WILL UNDOUBTLY HAVE AN EXTREMELY DECISION NOW TO FIRE CAMERON AFTER THIS GAME.EVEN HIS PICKS HAVE COLLAPSED.BECK - SUPPOSEDLY MR COOL HAS COME UNGLUED THE PAST TWO WEEKS.HE LOOKS LIKE A DEER FROZEN IN THE HEADLIGHTS OF A REAL TEAM.MAYBE HE S NOT NFL CALIBER.0-13 FOR SURE.THIS SHOULD ENSURE THE FIRST ROUND PICK NEXT YEAR.HOPE WE DO IN FACT HAVE A NEW HEAD COACH AND GENERAL MANAGER.THIS IS SHAMEFUL TO THE ENTIRE ORGANIZATION.I DON T THINK HUZIENGA WILL CONTINUE TO ALLOW THIS NEGATIVE MARKETING OF HIS FOOTBALL PRODUCT.CONSIDER CAMERON GONE AFTER THIS GAME.G-O-N-E.THIS IS THE MOST COLOSSAL DISGRACE THE DOLPHIN ORGANIZATION AND FANS HAVE EVER HAD TO ENDURE.AT LEAST WANNY WAS 11-5.CAMERON DUG THIS HOLE - HE LL NEVER GET OUT.US FANS DON T WANT TO WAIT FOR HIS TIMETABLE.I THINK HE S IN ZEN...HE LL WAIT A LIFETIME.THE REST OF US WANT A GOOD TEAM TO BEGIN DEVELOPING ASAP.HE ABSOLUTELY NOW MUST GO.HUZIEGA WILL NEVER FEEL THE PRESSURE MORE NOW - AT LEAST AFTER THIS GAME.IT S OVER.OVER.OVER.OVER.OVER.

And by the way, what I said about the defense wasn't to be smart.

It seems every time the Dolphins score or tie a game or take a lead, the Miami defense gives it back on the very next drive. They never get the other team to go three and out.

Robb,

Did you miss Cameron defending Ginn as #1? That showed me it was his decision on who was drafted.

I've been screaming this all YR. John Beck is no one, he couldn't even dominate The WAC or whatever conf he was in. How can he be a franchise QB. Cleo can play better than him. 24-7 in the 1st, dang

most intelligent fans know cleo is and always was the better qb, thats why the vets were pissed when beck became starter because it was putting up the white flag on this season. why should vets waste the final years of their careers so they can groom a rookie qb? everyone knows cleo gives us the best chance to win. to say beck is a bust is kinda rediculous (Aikmen 1-15 as a rookie), ELWAY running for his life with the broncos, STEVE YOUNG played for the laughing stock of football, the old tampa bay buccaneers! dont even try to pretend like everyone on here wasnt calling for beck when we were 0-8, all i heard is "what do we have to lose?" now all of a sudden people love cleo and want brady quinn, c'mon people, your talkin out of both sides of your mouth, a little bit of revisionised history wouldn't u say

There is no way that Beck is going to bounce back emotionally after the Cleo Lemon drive. I'm not too sure about that move.

Beck has the same expression cam does.
Maybe if we tivo the game then play it at 1/2 speed we will have a better chance.

Matthew,
Please don't go down the Peyton Manning road... The argument that you all try and make is that he had 28 Picks as a rookie, but he also had:
Rookie records

* Most passes attempted in a season: 575[62]
* Most passes completed in a season: 326[63]
* Most yards gained in a season: 3,739[63]
* Most Touchdown Passes in a season: 26[63]
* Most Consecutive games with a Touchdown: 13[62]

Using Peyton as a comparisson to Beck only makes you all look lazy for not doing basic research before you make these kinds of comments.

Hey,

Why all the injuries ?? I'll tell you why ....

The fabulous CAM CAM Cameron babies these guys in pre-season not wearing pads, cost this team big time. Turn this team into a bunch of pansies !!!

They can't play 60 minutes and are constantly getting hurt !!

here's another brilliant move in Pre-Season, Cam SHAM Cameron has all his players play different positions in one of the pre season games (where the dolphins got hammered) in order for the players to see what it took to play other positions !!! Hell, what was he thinking !!! thses players don't even know how to play their positions !!!

THIS LOSER COACH MUST GO OTHERWISE THE DOLPHINS WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER WINNING SEASON AGAIN !!!

You know what, they could have had Beck go out on the bootleg and done the same thing but the play wasn't called, it should have been because of the pressure he has been facing.
By the way Lemon severely threw that ball short.

I do not know what to say anymore..I guess heads have to roll to some degree.I still do not understand the Zach Thomas situation and what is up there....why sidleine half the heart of the team while the other half in Taylor plays

I was hoping for the best for Beck..after all those year sin pittsburhg..Cowher should settle down in Miami and the wonderful climate..also, going 8 - 8 next year will suffice after this and the Satan years

Cam didn't draft these players, he is however coaching them for failure.
