Finally some good news for Ted Ginn and the family

It has been a strange week for rookie Ted Ginn, who Cam Cameron infamously said the Dolphins drafted along with the kid's family.

First, Ginn seemed in trouble as he lost some kick return opportunities in the last preseason game as Cameron was not happy with his production in that kick return role. But the good news, the notable news, is that while he seemed to be falling behind on special teams, he was advancing at his position.

Ginn, who I still believe will be fine as a kick and punt returner, has apparently impressed coaches quite a bit as a receiver. How much?

Well, it will be interesting to see whether Ginn comes into the game AHEAD of Derek Hagan tonight. I'm told that is possible because Ginn has apparently passed Hagan in the coaching staff's collective thinking when they grade out the receivers.

On another front, veteran tackle Mike Rosenthal, who has missed the entire preseason with a shoulder injury, has been placed on injured reserve today. He is done for the season.

Injured vets Joey Porter and Andre' Goodman are not playing tonight and Joe Toledo continues his frustrating inability to get on the field. He is also out.

Anyway, that's it for the pre-game news. Let me know what you think of YOUR Dolphins before, during and after the game.

This just in: "Ted Ginn and his family" jokes were never really that funny.

This also just in: They're now about as funny as Dan Quayle jokes.

finally something on rosenthal so yeah we need to sign some depth on the o line and ginn looks like he could help out at reciever this year in certain situations such as go route reverses other trick plays and of course the ever so popular distraction which according to pro football experts is why reggie bush was effeective last year cause he sure as hell wasn't running the ball but i guess he doesn't have to be because that isn't what his position requires apparently. beck still looks like a stude to me and p.k. was my original pick to be our 5th reciever this year so we'll see if he can continue to play well.

Dolphins are looking good. Nice to see the offense move like that. If the defense plays up to it's billings and the offense can score 21 or more points a game the phins are going to the playoffs.

I loved to read that Ted Ginn is moving up in the depth chart as receiver, but I'm worried to read about his little-know quadriceps injury. Of course that if he's on the field this should be no big deal for the regular season, but may be somehow a reason for his very low pr/kr yardage.
I also loved the way John Beck is handling this offense. He needs time to learn and his chances will come just as soon as we stay out of playoff berth or when Trend Green injures which ever happens first. Cleo Lemon is a very nice backup but won't win the staring role competing with Beck, specially when during his development time is showing nice things.
