Live blogging during the game now

So you should already know that Rod Wright is starting for Vonnie Holliday, Derrick Pope is going for Channing Crowder and Cameron Worrell is starting for Donovin Darius.

On the bright side for Miami, Zach Thomas returns to the starting lineup for the first time in two weeks.

For Houston, Andre Davis will start for Andre Johnson and Ron Dayne will start for Ahman Green, who is not active.

I will blog live during the game.

The comments will update in the comments section.

Interesting the Texans expected to run like crazy today and they open with a long pass.

1:04 PM

That was pass interference

1:04 PM

... And then another pass. You know, sometimes football coaches outsmart themselves.

In this case, it's to Miami's advantage.

Completion to Walter. Good protection, but they have to run.

Welcome back Zach

With Zach back, one would expect the Dolphins will be stiffer against the run but the Texans should be testing it.

Jason Taylor is a joke this year

1:08 PM
Blogger Armando Salguero said...

Personal foul penalty on Jason Taylor for late hit on the QB. That's tough.

But of greater issue is the fact a QB can run to the boundry on Miami's defense. Very troubling when one looks at Miami's speed on defense.

1:08 PM
Blogger Armando Salguero said...

Now you know why Cameron Worrell should be playing special teams and not on defense.

he bit up on the play action pass, peaked into the backfield and got burned. 49 yard gain.

Looks like it's gonna be the pass defense today that's the problem

uh, how bad is jason allen if he can't get on the field for a decimated secondary?

Good tackle by Pope and Traylor. The Dolphins want to get Dayne's shoulders going toward the sideline instead of upfield.

1:10 PM

Sure, it's scheme w/our defense. Not that a guy named Worrell is in our secondary. Need playmakers all over this team. 2-3 drafts & off-seasons to fix this mess

But the fact is that JT hadn't much production this time last year. The difference? He's double-teamed on every other play by most teams scared to death that he will do what he just did. I've never been a fan of Green or Martin, but still... you can't expect the Phins to go 17-0 with what Cam came into... if we're still shitty after 3 or 4 years then let him go. He's doing everything that past coaches were too afraid to do and then you want to fire him... be a true Phins fan or go home

The one thing the Fins need more than anything else right now is consistency in the coaching staff and front office. We can't have players needing to learn new schemes on O and D every other year and replacing players all the time becuase they don't fit those new schemes.

Not every decision Cam's made has been a winner and not every one has been a loser either.

Like I said earlier, you guys keep forgetting what Cam came into. He's finally doing what Dolphins coaches were too afraid to do for the last decade. I just wrote an artice on the Phins and in doing a little extra research I found that since 2003 the Phins have only had 19 draft picks. If a team doesn't trade away any picks from 2003-2007, you'd have 35 picks... the Phins under other coaches have traded away 16 picks... and Cam's finally dumping the old and getting the young

i think you are smoking too much crack
he is back where he should be in college ball cause he could not hack it in the NFL!!!

Thank u Lawrence, I'm anon because I'm watching the game typing my comments on my Iphone... But Jt is the man, he routinely does something spectacular while being double teamed and he is a positive force fir the rest if the team, he really has heart. Most forced fumbles of any current player in the NFL. Sweet!

wow it amazes me how moronic fans commenting on this blog can be.

FIre CAM? Ever notice that since CAM left SD that LT isn't doing that well. Yes part of that is Norvs fault.

But also notice that Ronnie did nada in the past few years and then he gets comfortable in CAM's system and looks like a pro-bowler?

At least the offense is intersting at times. That's more than I can say for the past few seasons.

Cleo is the man...

Cam is a fool, phins boy..

Saban was restoring draft picks in his short tenure -- take a history lesson.

Mando is right too on CLeo. His arm is not the strongest in the world. He is not the permanent answer either. It is a testament to how good the o-line and RB are playing that we look this good. Nice signs of growth on the offense.

yeah saban also drafted jason allen in the first round.....

armando, you have to rake cam over the coals about his atrocious clock management. I don't care if we win or lose.... this man needs to be held accountable for his complete lack of awareness.

Guys: I don't think it's time to think about firing Cam Cameron or anything of that nature. That is reactionary stuff that has no place in conversation after four games. After the season, I would think, everyone will be evaluated ... including Cam Cameron.

As to the 2nd half: I would hlope with the Miami defense playing well and the backup QB in the game, I would hope Miami uses Ronnie Brown (a lot) because that is the best way to protect a lead and run time off the clock.

Anyone disagree?

I must say, Armando, both the Dolphins and YOU had a good first half, much better commentary on your part, keep the profane language out and don't sully yourself by responding to bloggers with handles that refer to acts on a female sexual organ. Rise above my friend, don't dirty yourself in the sewer. Talk football!

The word on Trent Green is that he has a concussion. He has not left the building yet but probably will be taken to the hospital.

Cam gets credit for the prgogress this team has made. You wanted to crucify him when they fail, why doesn't he deserve some credit when they succeed. And when did Cam say he wanted Chatman ahead of Brown?? He said he had higher expectations of Brown but it looks like he did a good job of motivating the guy to me.

i say cleo should air it out in the second half, i got faith in the lemon..

and let trent go out to pasture already!

as for cam, if he loses two more games, why wait till the season end, just send him back to his family and put us all out of our misery..

it aint too early to fire his ass

I know it's only Week 5, but how big can a victory today play in the mentality of the Dolphins, particularly the young guys?

I've only seen Ginn's 5th gear once and that was the kickoff return in the first half for over 50 yards.

Get there Ginn

so much for playing smart. What happened to giving the ball to Ronnie Brown? What happened to understanding the circumstances and momentum of the game?

Cameron needs to be better than that. Having said all that, I dismiss talk of firing right now.

Why isn't it Ronnie left, Ronnie right, Ronnie on a screen?
